In this article I will show you a great way to treat bacterial vaginosis. Just as the title suggest, using coconut oil for treating bacterial vaginosis can actually work and has worked for a good number of women.

The best way I have found to insert coconut oil into the vagina is by taking coconut oil in its liquid form (if it's cold out I boil water and scoop solid coconut oil in a small mason jar and submerge it in the hot water just until the oil is melted...I don't recommend heating it in microwave as I'm not sure if heating it in that way would damage it in anyway). I purchased a bpa free water bottle shaped ice cube tray on amazon. I have included the link. I pour the liquid coconut oil into the molds and place in the fridge. In a few hours they are ready to go. They come out of the mold easily. I cut them in 1/2 and insert one into my vagina/night until symptoms disappear. The mold will make 20 suppositories. Usually my symptoms are gone after 4-5 days. Warning: this is messy and I don't recommend wearing a pad. Your vagina needs to breath and a pad seems to stifle that. I fold a bath towel and lay on that at night. The oil DOES come out...so beware not to use your most favorite pj's, panties, or sheets ;)

ReplyDeleteWhat I do is soak a tampon in melted coconut oil, then insert the tampon. I always wear a liner as well. If the coconut oil gets on your cloths, no worries. It will wash right out, no problem. Works great for me.

I developed horrible horrible yest inf actions after being on antibiotics for some long. I gave coconut oil a shot. Froze small tube like amount in foil. Then insert it several days in a row. I've tried several different kinds of antibiotics including flagyl and nifuratel that I ordered from Bulgaria to the US (extensive research brought me to this one) to no avail. Symptoms would stop for a short period of time and then come back. I honestly started to think nothing would fix this.

My gf used coconut oil as lube last night (awesome and effective btw) and accidentally applied kind of a lot. I left it in over night and by this morning I was in tears because there is NO SMELL. NO SMELL AT ALL. This has been nothing but a nightmare stealing my confidence, my health and my sex life.

DeleteReally?? Bv can be excruciating, and it's so embarrassing. I've dealt with bv for many years. I'm 20 now. I was bullied, and treated like I was the scum of the earth because of this. People thought I was dirty, and or that I had std's. Which was far from the truth. I showered regularly, and I don't have any stds or sti's. It has effected my life tremendously. I've had reoccurring BV for years and sometime I wouldon't let the infection clear it's self because the medication prescribed from a physician would have nasty foul taste and will upset my tummy such a horrible situationot. Anyways, I started coconut oil for BV last night I woke up I still have a faint smell but not as strong of a smell before I inserted it in my vaginas also, yesterday I was curling my hair and burned the hell out my finger I rushed to put coconut oil on burn and the pain last for no longer than 1 min and a great later my finger was healing from burn I have no blister but you can tell I burned myself I am applying the coconut oil 3 times a day.
